How My Books and Recordings Are Made

Ben Everson at the microphone in the recording studio

I write and teach my own material, and every word is my responsibility. Like most authors and producers today, I use a range of tools in the creation of my print and audio media. These include standard editing software and AI-assisted tools for things like proofreading, formatting, audio cleanup and cover design. My spoken audio, such as audiobooks and broadcasts, is produced with a mix of live recording, Adobe Podcast to clean live audio as well as generate transcripts from preached sermons, and AI voice clone technology from ElevenLabs. This enables me to create professional audio as I travel on the road. These tools help with the craft.  My music vocals are not made or altered by AI in any way.
